Woman praised on social media for laminate flooring wall

A woman named Tracy Lewis glued strips of laminate flooring to her living room wall and received floods of praise.

Lewis posted pictures of the finished product on the popular “Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It” Facebook page. Accompanying her laminate wall pictures, Tracy captioned the post:

“Wall is finished just got edging to do then finally all done. Laminate flooring on wall as well.”

Though laminate flooring on walls may not be to everyone’s taste, Lewis received hundreds of comments about her wall from the group, most of them positive and about how beautiful it looked. One commenter said:

“Looks great – warm and cosy like being in a log cabin.”

Many of the comments were from people who had never seen laminate flooring on walls before, and were unaware that fixing laminate planks on walls is not new. One laminate flooring manufacturer, Pergo, even recommends it, writing on its website:

“A horizontal arrangement of planks in either a shiplap effect or pallet wood plank wall style can deliver either a modern or rustic look.”

It also says that using lighter shade laminate floor planks with an irregular pattern brings a country-style effect to a home.

Laminate flooring in Wirral and Cheshire properties is popular because it is hard-wearing, looks attractive and is easy to clean. Few homes or business users extend the use of laminate flooring to walls, but if Lewis’ post starts a trend, room designs with matching laminate flooring and walls could be worth considering.
