Are these new floor tiles the quickest to fit on the market?

A business based in Lancashire has developed a floor tile it claims is the quickest to fit on the market.

The tiles, developed by Patterson & Rothwell, are PVC- based 500mm x 6mm in size, and are interlocking. Designed for commercial applications, they have been tested to withstand weights of up to four tonnes.

The manufacturer claims that an area of ten square meters can be covered in just six minutes, thanks to the interlocking style of the tiles. This makes them ideal for fitting in areas where there needs to be little interruption to workflow.

The firm normally specialises in injection mould and tool making. It developed the tiles for its own use to cover the factory floor. Staff there then realised that they had accidentally invented a new type of tile and have now made the tiles available for other users.

Known as Versatile tiles, they are available in eight colours. They are flame retardant, slip resistant, and come with a ten-year guarantee. Their interlocking design mean that not only are the tiles quick to lay, but they can also be easily taken up and relocated if necessary.

The company says that the tiles are suitable for many commercial uses, including factories, gyms, hospitals, schools and any other location where floor renovations need to be completed as soon as possible.

For installing a new solid floor in your Cheshire business, Versatile tiles join a wide range of hardwearing and attractive floor coverings that are available.
