Dragons’ Den warehouse with original wooden floors up for sale

The Victorian warehouse where the BBC television show Dragon’s Den was filmed for its first series fifteen years ago is up for sale.

It has many original wooden features including the wooden floor, exposed roof beams and the famous wooden staircase where entrepreneurs climbed to meet the Dragons.

The warehouse is in north east London and was built in 1890 and is priced at £3.25 million. The building has an exposed pitched timber roof, a rich wood floor and brickwork walls. Since it stopped being used to film Dragon’s Den, the warehouse has been used for numerous film, TV and photo shoots. Photographers like its industrial style and stripped-back décor.

The Victorian warehouse has the potential for conversion to residential or mixed use. Buyers are attracted to the original features and may want to keep them. The wooden floors are old but still in good condition and can be restored to a like-new condition by sanding.

The Dragons’ Den warehouse highlights that wooden flooring is a long term investment. Solid wood flooring in Wirral residential or commercial properties can last for well over a hundred years.

Although they may be more expensive than some floor covering types, wood floors add value to a property and, like the Dragons’ Den warehouse, are a feature that attracts buyers making the property easier to sell. Although suitable for installing in old properties, modern Wirral houses can benefit from the style and lasting appeal of solid wood flooring.
